Organizational Mission & Purpose
The mission of The You Got Next Foundation (YGNF) is to provide support, training and resources to help individuals make successful life transitions from challenging or dysfunctional life circumstances to a productive next phase of life. The key life transitions we focus on are veterans transitioning to civilian life, homeless individuals transitioning to permanent housing, divorcees transitioning to post divorce life, ex-felons who transition through re-entry, high school student’s transition to post-secondary/college life.
|Beyond Bars||Transitioning ex-felons to life beyond prison where they become law abiding productive citizens of society. Recidivism costs taxpayers $50 billion per year not counting the personal cost of victimization that could unfortunately sometimes includes dead victims. Correctional systems in America need community organizations to help truly rehabilitate ex-felons and thus reduce this tremendous cost to society. Nationally 67%+ ex-felons re-offend within 12 months of their release. YGNF’s program graduates have a recidivism rate of 15%, well below the national average.|
